W. Bradley Blair, II named The Carolinas 1999 Ernest & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year for Emerging Companies
Charleston, SC, June 23, 1999 W. Bradley Blair, II, president and chief executive of Golf Trust, was one of nine winners of the Carolinas 1999 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards. The winners were announced on Friday, June 18, at a black tie dinner held in Charlotte, North Carolina. The competition was divided into nine categories of which Golf Trust won the Emerging Company category. Blair is now eligible to participate in the national Entrepreneur Of The Year awards held later this year.
Established in 1996, Golf Trust of America Inc. is a Charleston-based real estate investment trust which owns or has interest in 46 golf courses across the country. The companys portfolio focuses on upscale golf facilities, including Wildewood in Columbia, South Carolina, Royal New Kent in Virginia, The Westin Innisbrook Resort in Tampa, Emerald Dunes in West Palm Beach and Sandpiper Golf Course in Santa Barbara.

From 1995 to 1997, Boles was the Tournament Administrator for The 1997 World Cup at Kiawah Island Resort located outside of Charleston, South Carolina. Prior to coming to Golf Trust, Boles worked as Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations for The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina.
